In October, visitors to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs were once again entertained by dances from Revolution Dance Academy (RDA), who performed their version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” at the popular Boo at the Zoo. Decked out as zombies and other creatures of the night, the performance has become a tradition for RDA. The dancers spend weeks rehearsing and planning their costumes and make-up. They all look forward to the annual event, which draws large crowds and applause. The “Thriller” dancers are always a big hit!
This year, RDA dancers were also invited to take over the haunted house and spook guests who walked through. They provided just enough “scariness” for ages 6 and up … and had a lot of FUN getting into character!
Volunteering at Boo at the Zoo is one of the many ways Revolution Dance Academy gives back to the community. Earlier in the month, dancers also performed at the Family Fall Festival in Briargate.
“I really reject that kind of comparison that says, Oh, he is the best. This is the second best. There is no such thing.”
