Ballet serves as the foundation for all styles of dance, as many other dance genres are based on Ballet. Ballet is based on techniques that have been developed over centuries. Ballet uses music and dance to tell stories. Ballet dancers have the ability to transport an audience to another world. Ballet can be classical or abstract.

Beginning Ballet Level 1 & 2: starting at age 8 the foundation of classical ballet movement begins. RDA follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.

Intermediate Ballet Level 3 & 4: students must pass to this level, a more intense study of classical ballet technique requiring more hours of ballet weekly.  Pointe work will begin for the dancer who is 12 years of age with technical ability.

Advanced Ballet Level 5 & 6: the most intense study of classical and abstract (contemporary) ballet technique, dancers must pass to this level, must be en pointe, and taking the required hours of ballet to sustain technique and development.

Ballet Variations and Contemporary Ballet class is required for the intermediate to advanced ballet dancer.
